Why We’re Here

Hey, you found us. We’re so glad you’re here.

This blog? It’s not just about art or 3D prints or the cool things we create. It’s about the why behind all of it. The messy, wonderful, deeply personal journey that led us here.

Because KCT wasn’t born from a lightbulb moment. It came from years of feeling like we didn’t quite fit. Of trying (and failing) to force ourselves into traditional paths. 

We were told the things we loved didn’t count.
Art. Music. Creating. Dreaming.
They were just hobbies. Not real jobs. Not something to build a life around.
But we knew better. Or at least... we wanted to believe it.

Spoiler alert. That was a lie.

We were exhausted.

Exhausted from jobs that drained us.
Exhausted from trying to function in a world that wasn’t built for brains like ours.
Exhausted from feeling like we had to prove our worth by working for someone else’s dream.

For Carolyne, art has always been a lifeline. It’s how she makes sense of the world, how she processes emotions, and how she expresses things that words just can’t. But for years, it was pushed aside. Something to do when there was time. (There never was.)

For Kyle, creativity has always shown up in a thousand different ways. He’s been building things since he could walk. Designing. Solving problems. Making cool things. He’s also a drummer. Rhythm speaks to him. Music, just like 3D design, was seen as something extra.
A side thing. A nice-to-have.
Not something you could build a future on.
But we kept building anyway.

And honestly? We were tired of that story.

So one day, we just... decided.

What if we stopped trying to fit into a world that wasn’t made for us?

What if we created our own space instead?

A space where art isn’t just about looking pretty. It’s about self-expression. Connection. Celebrating the weird, wonderful, chaotic parts of who we are.

A space where creativity isn’t just a hobby. It’s a way of life.

A space where thinking differently isn’t something to be fixed. It’s something to be embraced.

And that’s how Kylyne’s Custom Treasures was born.

What We’re Really About

At our core, we believe there’s nothing wrong with thinking differently. Creativity isn’t just a luxury. It’s magic.

A hand-painted dragon.
A custom 3D print.
Wearable art. A bassline that gives you chills.
What we create means something.
It carries feeling. It holds truth. It connects us to ourselves and to each other.

And speaking of connection. One of the things we’re most excited about is The Dopamine Den, our upcoming Discord space.

Because sometimes the world just doesn’t get us.

We hyperfocus. We forget to eat because we’re chasing an idea. We collect a thousand notebooks and finish none of them. We thrive in chaos. And that’s okay.

The Dopamine Den is a place for people like us. The dreamers. The makers. The beautifully messy humans figuring it out as they go. Maybe you want to show off your latest creative idea.
